LAURINBURG – Police are looking for a man suspected in a shooting that occurred at the Laurinburg Food Mart Tuesday afternoon.

The shooter is believed to be driving a brown or gold van, according to Assistant Chief of Police Cliff Sessoms.

Officers responded to a call for assistance at the store on the corner of Produce Market and Lee’s Mill Roads at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, 25-year-old Precious McCollum, was sitting in her 2006 Mazda when she was shot in the arm. McCollum was transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital by personal vehicle. No information was available on the victims condition.

The shots left $1,000 in damages to McCollum’s vehicle and left damage to the corner of the store.
