Crime report for Aug. 6

GIBSON — William Curtis Graham, 42, of 14460 Austin Circle, was arrested Monday and charged with felonious possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine, according to a sheriff’s report.

Graham was placed in the Scotland County jail under a $5,000 bond.

LAUREL HILL — Christian Jams Gibson Jr., 16, of 4661 Old Wire Road, was charged Monday with felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and entering and felonious conspiracy, according to a sheriff’s report.

LAURINBURG — Carmen Gonzales, 50, was charged on Monday with misdemeanor child abuse and driving while impaired after officers found her unresponsive in a car at the Wendy’s drive-thru, according to a police report.

Assistant Police Chief Cliff Sessoms said it took more than two minutes to wake Gonzales, who had her 2-year-old grandchild in the back of the vehicle. Sessoms said officers performed a field sobriety test and the Department of Social Services was called to the scene.

Both Gonzales and the child were released into the custody of family members, Sessoms said.


LAUREL HILL — James Manning, of Old Wire Road, reported Tuesday that someone broke into the trunk of his 1999 Plymouth Neon and took a $200 subwoofer and $300 amplifier while it was parked on Pate Street, according to a sheriff’s report.

Damage to the trunk latch was reported at $200.

LAUREL HILL — Gerald Ray Polk, of Dorset Drive, reported Sunday that someone took items valued a total of nearly $7,000 from a storage building at his home, according to a sheriff’s report.

The items included a washer and dryer and stand-up freezer. Nothing was reported damaged.

LAURINBURG — Murphy Brown Farm LLC reported that someone took 40 tin slabs valued at $400, according to a sheriff’s report.
