Arrests


LAURINBURG — Toby Patterson, 24, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Monday and charged with felonious breaking and entering, possession of drug paraphernalia and communicating threats, according to a police report. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond. His address is not known.


LAURINBURG — Taquan Martin, 24, of 377 Benson Chapel Road in Rowland, was served a warrant Sunday for vandalism, according to a police report. He was held under a $500 unsecured bond.


LAURINBURG — Janet Cartrette, 56, of Blakely Road, was served with an order for arrest out of Bladen County Monday and charged with non-compliance, according to a sheriff’s report. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Chris Mauk, of Lake Drive, reported Sunday that someone broke into his home and stole a computer, hammock and fish tank, valued at a total of about $1,400, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — It was reported Sunday that David White was at the Bus Terminal Motel, at East Church Street, when someone stole prescription medication from his room, according to a police report.


LAUREL HILL — Calvin Gibson, of Old Wire Road, reported Saturday that someone broke into his home, caused about $200 damage to two windows and stole jewelry, a hand gun and electronics from inside, according to a sheriff’s report.


Theft


LAURINBURG — Manuel Escolera and David Dias, of St. Andrews University, reported Sunday that someone stole their bicycles, valued at about $200 each, from the Scotland Inn Motel while they were inside the building, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — David Dial, of East Covington Street, reported Saturday that someone stole his cell phone, valued at about $550, according to a police report.


Assault


LAURINBURG — It was reported on Sunday, around 3 a.m., that Carriea Goodwin, of Laurel Hill, was hit on the head at a home on Craigs Lane, causing her to lose consciousness, according to a sheriff’s report. She was treated at Scotland Memorial Hospital. Goodwin suffered cuts and bruises to her wrist and head and was unable to identify her attacker, the report said.


Vandalism


LAURINBURG — Chanelle Young, of Short Street, reported Sunday that someone threw an object and broke a window to her home, causing about $100 damage, according to a police report.


Animal Attack


LAURINBURG — It was reported on Sunday that a dog scratched a 3-year-old girl, of Bennettsville, S.C., around her eye at a home on Wooster Street, according to a police report. The girl was treated at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
