The Laurinburg Police Department’s patrol cars are being given a new look. Chief Darwin Williams, pictured here with some of the department’s vehicles, said a patrol car is painted once every two weeks, and though the public have voiced their mixed reviews on the change, he is pleased with the new look.
Money to paint the cars was allocated by the city council this year when the department was found to be operating with a surplus because of lapsed salaries.
