To the editor:

It was with mixed emotions that I announced my retirement and the closing of Radford’s Child Care Center, effective Oct. 18.

Aug. 26 marked my 37th-year anniversary as a child care provider. I am very grateful for all these years that God has allowed me to be in this profession .My daughter, Anita, has been my right arm down through these years, and I want to really thank her for her dedication and loyalty to all our children, other staff, parents, and me as well.

Thanks to all my staff workers down through the years. We want to thank each parent, grandparent, foster parent, and guardian for your trust and confidence that you have put in my staff and I to care for your children. We have loved them as though they were our own,and we are really going to miss them.

I feel like God put me in this profession for a reason. I trust that we have planted a small seed in each and every child’s heart that will make a difference in their lives in their futures. We pray for the very best for each and every child that we have had contact with for the past 37 years. We have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of each child’s life that has entered our center.

We love each and every one of you, and we want you to know the doors to our homes are always open to each one of you.

May God Bless Each One,

Carolyn Radford, director & owner and Anita Radford Watts, assistant director
