Arrest made in shooting

LUMBERTON — A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting a woman in the head earlier this month.

Donte T. Sealy, of the 4400 block of Alamac Road, is accused of shooting Tamikia Owens, 23, in the Lumbee Homes public housing complex in South Lumberton at about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, according to Lumberton police Capt. Terry Parker. Owens was taken by private vehicle to Southeastern Regional Medical Center and has since been released.

Sealy, who was arrested on Thursday, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon. He was placed in the Robeson County jail under a $250,000 bond.
